Set up a ring group
Beta: Ring groups are a beta feature and may change.
A ring group is an action you add to a number's call flow so a call rings several people instead of one. For what ring groups do, see Ring groups: ring several people at once; for a tour of the flow editor, see Build a custom call flow.
Add a ring group
- Log in at portal.everreach.co.uk
- Open Reception and click into the number you want to set up
- Go to the Call Flow tab. Actions are added in List View — the Visual Editor is read-only.
- Click Add Action and choose Ring Group
- Under Members, add the people you want to ring — search your saved contacts and numbers, and add up to 10. The same number can't be added twice.
- Choose the Ring order: Everyone simultaneously or One at a time, in order. For one at a time, drag the handle next to each member to set the order they're called in.
- Set the Ring Timeout — how long the group rings before giving up. Leave it blank for the default of 30 seconds, or enter anything from 5 to 120.
- Optionally set the Caller ID — which number shows on the answering person's phone. The options are Use virtual number setting, Display caller's number and Display my virtual number; see Caller ID on forwarded calls for what each option does, plus some important limitations to understand.
- Save the action, then click Save Changes to make the flow live.
If nobody answers
Every ring group needs a fallback. If no one answers within the ring timeout, the call carries on to the next action in your call flow. A new ring group starts with voicemail as that next step; change it to any other action from your flow. Voicemails arrive in your Inbox.
