Caller ID on forwarded calls

When someone calls your everreach number and we forward the call to your phone, you choose which number your phone displays. You can set this separately for each of your numbers.

Your two options

  • Display my virtual number — your phone shows your everreach number, so you can tell it's a business call before you answer.
  • Display the caller's number — your phone shows the number the caller is ringing from, so you can save it as a contact or call them back.

When the caller's number won't show

If you've chosen Display the caller's number, there are two cases where you won't see the caller's number:

  • The caller withheld their number. The call comes through to you marked as withheld (or private number), just as a withheld call shows on any phone. We can't reveal a number the caller chose to hide.
  • The caller is on a premium-rate number. If someone calls from a premium-rate line — for example a UK number starting 09, 084 or 087, or an overseas premium number — we show your everreach number instead of theirs. This protects whoever you forward to from being charged a premium rate if they call the number back.

How to change the setting

  1. Log in at portal.everreach.co.uk
  2. Open Reception and click into the number you want to set up
  3. Go to Advanced Settings
  4. Under Caller ID Display, choose the option you prefer
