Can I send or receive SMS?

Not at the moment. everreach is a call-handling service — your virtual number receives calls and voicemail, and forwards calls to your phone. It doesn't send or receive text messages.

Why SMS isn't supported

everreach virtual numbers are UK local numbers (starting 01 or 02) and UK national numbers (starting 0330). These number types generally aren't enabled for SMS across the UK network, so they can't reliably send or receive texts — they're built for voice calls. See Choosing a virtual number for more on the number types we offer.

What about mobile numbers?

We're planning to introduce UK mobile numbers, which will support two-way SMS — sending and receiving texts. If that would be useful for you, let us know and we'll add you to the list of people to tell when it's ready.

Bulk or marketing SMS

everreach isn't a bulk SMS or SMS marketing platform, and we don't offer outbound marketing texts. If that's what you need, a dedicated SMS marketing provider is the right tool.
